Timber Frame Extensions,
Little Stoke

About the Project

This timber-frame, single-storey extension in Little Stoke, North Bristol was designed to create a light-filled kitchen-diner, transforming the way the clients used their home. Without requiring a full knock-through, we removed the original rear windows and opened up the back of the house to connect the new extension directly to the kitchen — creating one large, flowing and functional space.

Large vertical windows, sliding patio doors, and Velux windows maximise natural light and give the space an airy, open feel. Completed in just seven weeks, the extension has brought a new sense of space, comfort and connection to the outdoors — a result the client was thrilled with.

Brief

To build a single-storey timber-frame extension that would expand the kitchen into a bright, open-plan dining area with a strong connection to the garden.

Solution

We completed the extension in just seven weeks, including all internal finishes. With floor-to-ceiling windows, sliding doors and vaulted ceilings with Velux windows, the new space is now the heart of the home — modern, welcoming and full of light.
